Gary and Krystal Wheat
Pastor Gary and Krystal have served as the Lead Pastors at The Assembly since July 2001. Pastor Gary is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. He has a Bachelor's degree in Church Ministries and Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Gary and his wife have been married since March 1991. They have two children. He also loves all things chocolate!
Kurt Denmark has been on staff as worship pastor since 2018. He is a certified minister with the Assemblies of God. He and his wife, Melanie, have been married since 1999 and have 3 children. Fun fact: Kurt once caught a full-sized alligator with his bare hands!
Pastor Cherokee has been the Children’s Pastor at the Assembly since 2018. He graduated from Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor's in Youth and Family Ministries. His wife, Ashlyn, serves on the Assembly worship team. They have been married since March 2021. He has ministered to children and their families in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania along with ministering at camps for abused and neglected foster children. Fun fact: He once got an ORU van stuck at the Peabody Hotel (No ducks or people were injured).
Associate and Youth Pastor
Brandon Dail started serving as our Associate & Student Pastor in July 2021. Brandon grew up in West Memphis, AR and graduated from West Memphis Christian School. After high school, he attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University. In December 2016, he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Church Leadership and began working towards a Master’s in Organizational Leadership. He has been credentialed with the Assemblies of God since March of 2017, and previously served as Student & Worship Pastor at Abundant Life Church in Bryant, AR for over four years. He loves coffee, Chick-fil-A, and listening to music - all with a group of friends.
Gentry Campus Pastor
Pastor Kyle became the campus pastor for the Gentry Campus in March 2020. He previously served as youth pastor at Decatur Assembly of God for 11 years. He grew up in Northwest Arkansas graduating from Springdale High School. Kyle received his Bachelor's degree from Central Bible College in 2008 and became an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God in May 2019. He and his wife, Athea, married in May 2007. They have two beautiful daughters. He is a huge Arkansas Razorback fan.
